1860 Bank of Bombay 10 Rupees banknote with prefix

Type 4*
Bank of Bombay
10 Rupees 1860
This is the only banknote of Bank of Bombay with prefix A with the nearest date to the abolishment.

The Townhall of Mumbai is depicted in the center top. The marble statues of Mt. Stuart Eliphinstone and Sir John Malcolm depicted on the banknote can be seen in the present Asiatic Society of India (established in 1804 in Bombay). Five overlapping circles with bold underprint TEN. The coat of Arms at the bottom center. Unique Banknote of India. Extremely scarce. My personal favourite in my collection.

* please wait for the release of my book on this topic this book was possible due to my devoted research work on presidency banknotes of India. I am grateful to Mr Rezwan Razack and Mr Kishore Jhunjhunwalla for providing great information about presidency banknotes.
